FAQ: HOW IS AN EBOOK DIFFERENT FROM A PRINTABLE ACTIVITY GUIDE?
FAQ: HOW IS AN EBOOK DIFFERENT FROM A PRINTABLE ACTIVITY GUIDE?
The ebooks are written to be read. They include more inspiration, background information, and teaching tips, but do NOT include printable student pages.
You can think of the ebooks as a "teacher's manual" for their related printable activities.
The printable activity guides include brief teacher instructions, but the focus is on the student handout pages, making the activities easy to use in a classroom or homeschool. Many of the printable guides also include math journaling prompts and decorated pages for student writing.
Ebooks come in two formats: DRM-free EPUB file (for reading on your phone or ebook reader) and a PDF (for reading on a tablet). The activity guides come in printable PDF format only.
Either type can stand alone, though we believe they work better together. If you're on a tight budget, the ebook is often the better deal.

Absolutely fantastic that is giving us hours of fun with games asked to be playes again and again and again!
Invaluable book for those who want a wider picture than just following whatever a given curriculum tells you to do, or who don’t want to be tethered to the internet to find a fun new math game. Worth every penny, using worth a Year 1 math student but also had great fun pulling out a game to play with a high schooler from the local co-op. If you love math, and you love hard copies, take the dive and purchase this!
Excellent and fun way to approach math with my neurodiverse students.
Everything written by Denise Gaskins should be part of your family's math experience. The games and activities are clearly explained and fun. As a homeschool mom and professional educator I give every book 5 stars
The variety of activities that can be played with the hundred chart is amazing. It is so easy to grab a chart and play a game with my kids that math has become a go-to subject. I especially appreciate the way Denise Gaskins encourages creativity as a way to understand math more deeply than computation alone achieves.
My goal as a homeschooling parent is to guide my kids through math by keeping it an exciting process of discovery and I feel confident in achieving this with Denise Gaskins by my side.
